This residential remodeling project in Dutchess County, NY, reflects a thoughtful refresh that honors the home’s mid-century character, while improving comfort and flow.

The original Doug-Fir paneling and stone hearth were preserved as defining elements, and a new palette was selected to complement them. Updated lighting, a refined ceiling design, and a reimagined lower-level introduce contemporary touches.

Custom millwork, integrated seating, and bespoke cabinetry shape the renewed interiors. Highlights include a custom dining banquette and custom table, a built-in daybed overlooking the wooded landscape, a refreshed galley kitchen with stone tile accents, and an exacting custom-built wood-fired pizza oven.

Downstairs, a sculptural white banquette and tulip table create a quiet retreat, while a black-and-brass bar anchors the entertainment area with tailored storage and refined finishes. Throughout, crafted details and coordinated materials create continuity and warmth.

The result is a contemporary yet respectful interpretation of the original home—updated for modern living while celebrating its enduring character.
